Nicole Joye (FR, 1957) vive na cidade de Grenoble, em França, local que muito a inspira na sua produção artística. No seu trabalho, a artista explora o mundo sensível com um forte cariz abstrato, onde a fotografia e a pintura andam de mãos dadas.

Na série "Géométries sensibles", as fotografias são apresentadas a pares, originando encontros improváveis. Nas pinturas sobre fotografias, a artista transforma de forma lúdica e com pinceladas de cor uma composição já dada numa outra, tornando-a mais abstrata.
